New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute
New York, NY
2002

The Patient Satisfaction Survey for HIV Ambulatory Care has been developed by the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute to give HIV providers an HIV-specific, validated tool to assess patient satisfaction with HIV primary care. The survey provides a uniquely quantitative opportunity to capture the "voices" of the patients and is a useful source of information for your quality improvement program.

The Survey includes the following HIV ambulatory care modules:

  • primary care
  • case management
  • substance use
  • mental health
  • women's health
  • Medicaid managed care

It also includes a section on how to plan this survey in HIV settings with concrete ideas for implementation.

The Survey is available in English and Spanish.
