The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program funds organizations that provide comprehensive, coordinated family-centered and community-based services to children, youth, and women living with HIV and their families. As either direct Ryan White Program service providers or administrators of Part D funds for a network, Part D grantees are responsible for the same type of quality management activities as organizations funded under Parts A through C. They must have a written quality management plan in place, routinely collect performance data, and conduct agency-wide quality improvement activities. The network grantees face the additional task of coordinating services among the various subcontractors and build their capacity for quality improvement, including data collection and quality management infrastructure development.
NQC and HAB conducted the first ever Part D Quality Improvement Conference on September 23, 2009 in the
NQC conducted 16 workshops on various topics that were focused on quality improvement in varied Part D program constructs. The workshops were structured to provide interactive, “learn by doing” opportunities as well as lectures. You will find copies of the PowerPoint presentations on this page. We encourage you to download and review them and share in the knowledge gained by your peers.
In the near future, NQC will be offering more Part D-specific quality management technical assistance as well as encouraging cross-Part collaboration across Ryan White Program Parts. We are grateful to everyone who attended and made this event such a success and look forward to working with all our Part D friends in the future.
